INGREDIENTS: Gastrodia, Tendrilled fritillaria, Pinellia, Processed arisaema, Poria, Ophiopogon, Salvia, Tangerine peel, Licorice, Polygala, Acorus, Amber, Siliceous secretion of bamboo. This is a traditional formula specifically for epilepsy. We modified it by excluding the heavy metal ingredients. Research on this formula’s anti-convulsive action and its inhibitory effects on the CNS suggest that it has a sedative effect on the spinal cord, cerebral cortex and other CNS components. This sedative effect is speculated to be the mechanism by which the formula inhibits seizure-related CNS activity. A clinical report demonstrated that with this formula, 125 out of 312 cases (39%) with various types of epileptic seizures significantly improved, 46 (14%) experienced some improvement and only 45 (14%) experienced no improvement. The total effectiveness rate was 71%. Fifty-four cases were re-examined in one year and in 55%, the improvement of the condition had been maintained. ACTIONS: Removes the wind-phlegm and opens up the clear orifice. RECOMMENDATIONS: Epileptic seizure, refractory headache. SUGGESTED USE: Take 2 or 3 pills three times daily with water.
